Business Analyst, Disaster Recovery

Location: Remote

Position Overview

This entry-level role works directly with our clients in a consultative capacity to analyze and organize customer business requirements, then designs and configures supported solutions in the client’s chose business continuity management software or cloud-based solution.

This role, which interfaces with customers, product managers, and developers, will allow you to develop both your technical and consultative skills, as you:

  • Respond to and manage client requests

  • Translate client business requirements into business process models, data models and platform solutions

  • Develop expertise with the Force.com platform services including the following activities: Configure custom objects, fields, and page layouts; build workflow and approval processes; build formulas and validation rules; build reports & dashboards; configure user roles, profiles, record sharing, and security settings

  • Develop training materials and deliver client training

  • Provide on-going customer support and issue resolution 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems or related category

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience as defined by the responsibilities listed above

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, preferably including experience with or coursework in: relational database design; logic-based programming; enterprise systems analysis and development; object-oriented programming; SDLC; and, QA

  • Experience in a client-facing role

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Customer support oriented

  • Ability to be a self-starter, working independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple commitments and tasks 

  • Business Continuity Management software experience preferred

  • Salesforce or ServiceNow experience preferred but not required

  • This is not a developer position, but those skills are desired

  • Willingness for occasional travel (up to 25%) based on customer needs or project milestones

 


Senior Consultant, Disaster Recovery

Location: Remote

Position Overview

The Senior Consultant, Disaster Recovery works directly with our clients to evaluate customer business requirements, advise on business process improvement, and implement business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.  Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Respond to and manage client requests

  • Translate client business requirements into functional programmatic solutions across the BC/DR lifecycle

  • Provide IT/DR input to Business Impact Analyses

  • Analyze existing technical solutions, and recommend improvements

  • Design and implement technical disaster recovery strategy and solutions, using customer-preferred Business Continuity Management software

  • Develop Disaster Recovery Plans to recover critical business applications and services

  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct testing, including plan walk-throughs, table top exercises, technical tests, functional drills, and full-scale exercises where applicable

  • Develop training materials and deliver client training

  • Provide on-going customer support and issue resolution 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems or related category

  • Related industry certification (e.g. CBCP, MBCI, etc.)

  • 5-10 years of relevant industry experience as defined by the responsibilities listed above

  • 3-5 years in professional services/consulting role

  • Strong practical knowledge of technology and its application in business

  • Experience working as part of project teams in a consulting

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple commitments and tasks 

  • Ability to be a self-starter, working independently or as part of a team in a virtual environment

  • Familiarity with Business Continuity Management software and cloud-based solutions

  • Willingness for occasional travel (up to 25%) based on customer needs or project milestones


Senior Consultant, HRIS Implementations (Dayforce)

Location: Remote

Position Overview: 

The Implementation Consultant participates in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support), under the direction of the Project Manager, and may lead one or more activities. Project responsibilities include; gathering customer requirements, configuring the Ceridian solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance to Associate Consultants, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager.  Responsibilities include:

  • Document and validate customer’s business requirements and map to Ceridian functionality

  • Configure Ceridian application to meet customer’s documented business requirements

  • Conduct consulting sessions (on the phone and in-person) and document with meeting minutes

  • Attend internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables

  • Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise

  • Develop SQL database scripts and XML transformers for integrations and interfaces

  • Be a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external users

  • Work with customers to implement Ceridian Organizational Readiness best practices in preparation for rollout of the Ceridian solution 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Workforce Management (WFM) implementations required

  • Experience in business process mapping

  • Experience in change management a plus

  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (less than 5%)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with software in a SaaS / Cloud computing environment including experience with HRIS Systems

  • Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL an asset

  • WFM experience with one or more of the following applications: SalesForce.com, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, PeopleSoft, Ceridian (preferred)

  • Ability to effectively implement an HRIS module or similar end-to-end solution

  • Understanding of common human capital management (HCM) business practices

  • Understanding of different industries and how Ceridian implementation best practices apply to the customer’s business practices

  • Customer relationship acumen

  • Ability to engage with multiple projects & customers at the same time and manage priorities

  • Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to lead and facilitate customer workshops and sessions
